Silverette® REGULAR

The original Silverette® are 925 silver cups for effective nipple protection during breastfeeding.

• They are the ideal solution for mothers who are faced with the appearance of breast stretch marks and other similar pathologies.
• In 2002, after a long phase of study and experimentation with mothers, neonatologists, midwives and pediatricians, Silverette was patented with its rounded-top shape to respect the contours of the nipple (European patent EUIPO n.4152047).
• The huge success of the original Silverette in Italy, Europe and the rest of the world makes them extremely popular.
• Silverette is a Class I medical device – Regulation 745/2017. The silver cups are in accordance with the law (5.02.1934) relating to the double trademark on silver products.

The incredible properties of silver

• Authentic Silverette® cups are made entirely of solid 925 silver.
• 925 silver is the purest workable silver there is, in fact with the purest silver (999 silver) it is only possible to carry out baths or laminations on objects whose structure is composed of other materials that can cause allergies. Therefore, the words 100% Silver cannot be true.
• Since ancient times, silver has been recognized as having antibacterial and therapeutic effects. It is still widely used in medicine today (e.g. as a disinfectant, plasters, etc.).
• For the benefit of buyers, the law of 5.02.1934 imposed the double hallmark of silver objects: the first hallmark, enclosed in an oval, must indicate the silver fineness, the second mark, currently enclosed in a hexagon, identifies the manufacturer.
• Silver cups without the double trademark are not legal.

How to use

After the breastfeeding session, place a few drops of milk in each cup and apply directly to the nipple like a glass. Remove the cups and carefully lift the nipples with water before breastfeeding. Do not use any other nipple treatment in combination with Silverette®: this could reduce or even compromise the effectiveness of the product.

Cleaning and maintenance

Silverette® may tarnish over time due to the natural oxidation process that occurs in silver, however it is still safe and effective to use. To remove tarnish, make a paste using a mixture of baking soda (one teaspoon) with a few drops of water. Rub the paste over the cups, rinse and dry.

O-Feel®

Two rings made of hypoallergenic medical grade silicone for the correct placement of Silverette® and for greater comfort in use. O-Feel™ are elastic and fit all Silverette®.

Use

Medical silicone ring for correct placement of Silverette® and greater comfort in use.

Application

Thanks to their elasticity, O-Feel fits snugly against the edge of the Silverette® silver cups. They are secured in the circumferential groove by applying light pressure.

Cleaning/sterilization

Wash with water and neutral soap. Silicone rings can be sterilized with boiling water/steam, gamma rays, ethylene oxide.
