About me

Working as a self-employed midwife since 2016, it is my goal to empower and support women on their unique journey of pregnancy and giving birth. After graduating from the University of Applied Health Sciences in Bochum, Germany I gained experience in independent midwifery, accompanying numerous mothers-to-be during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Early on I decided to specialize in homebirths, which provide a protected, personal and peaceful environment for both the mother and the newborn child. My priorities are a resource-oriented, empowering and evidence-based approach through building a connection of mutual trust.

Born and raised as a multilingual person, speak German, Greek and English fluently.

I strongly believe in the power and autonomy every woman contains within herself and I am an active advocate of the humanisation of childbirth.

In 2020 I became the creator and host of the first Greek Midwifery podcast “Logos Maion” in which I interview people from different backgrounds with the mission to educate about the wisdom and the challenges of today's birthing culture in Greece. My goal is to inform future mothers about their rights and freedom of choices within the Greek health system.

“My services are aimed at people who wish to be accompanied by a midwife during their pregnancy, homebirth and postpartum. I adress women who seek for an empowering, physiological and resource-oriented view on this particular time. I believe that pregnant women, women giving birth and mothers need to be primarily protected from unnecessary interventions and that these must be always well justified.

Change will come from women themselves. When the time is right, they will demand their rights. The same will happen to midwives when they remember how birth could be. I see a future in which midwives and gynecologists work in partnership for the best of women and their families. Where informed and free choices are possible.
